Burger Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 2 cloves roasted garlic
  • 2 tablespoons caramelized onions
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Caramelized Onions: Sauté thinly sliced onions until golden brown and soft.

  2. Prepare Roasted Garlic: Roast garlic cloves until they are soft and caramelized. Mash the roasted garlic into a paste once cooled.

  3. Combine Mayo and Mustard: In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and yellow mustard. Mix them well until smooth and evenly blended.

  4. **Add Roasted Garlic and Caramelized Onion: If you're using garlic powder and onion powder, add them directly to the mayo-mustard mixture. If you prefer the substitute, fold in the finely chopped caramelized onions and mashed roasted garlic.

    • Note:
      • Feel free to substitute garlic powder and onion powder if desired. It will still taste great and speed up the time of the recipe.
      • Adjust the quantities based on your taste preferences.
  5. Incorporate Remaining Ingredients: Add the paprika, sweet relish, pickle juice, sugar, and salt to the mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

  6. Adjust Consistency and Seasoning: If needed, adjust the consistency of the sauce. To Thin it out add more pickle juice or water. To Thicken use more mayo or mustard. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve alongside burgers, sandwiches, or as a dipping sauce for fries.
