Roast Beef Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 to 4 pounds of beef roast (such as sirloin or rib roast)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.

  3. Heat olive oil in a roasting pan over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until browned.

  4. Remove the roast from the pan and set it aside. In the same pan, sauté the sliced onion and minced garlic until softened.

  5. Place the roast back into the pan on top of the onion and garlic mixture.

  6. Pour the beef broth over the roast, and sprinkle thyme and rosemary on top.

  7. Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.

  8. Let the roast rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
